How to assemble a chandelier
You may find useful hints also on this site:
http://www.scrapbookscrapbook.com/DAC-ART/italian-murano-glass-chandelier.htm
Pay attention when removing the chandelier
from the box because some parts are very fragile.
Pay special attention if the glass components are vacuum packed: using a blade or a sharp knife,
cut all around the plastic and remove the glass only when it's completely free.
Place all pieces on a flat surface, and check that
none are broken, in case of a breakage photograph
the broken part and send us the photo; the transport is insured.
Remember: the biggest help on assembling you can have is from an enlarged photo of your chandelier taken from our web site.
Unfortunately we cannot make individual instructions for our chandeliers because they are often personalized or changed.

Most types of Murano chandeliers
Please follow all instructions from N.1 to N.16 as shown on the drawing. 1) Take the long metal rod, if there is a hook screwed in on one side (the upper side), take it off. 2) There is a longer screwed end with a washer, if it is not attached, screw it in. 3) Take the large wooden or metal disk and place the rod in it. 4) Now fix the nut with screw to hold the wooden disk firmly. 5) Take the mace and place the metal rod into it with the narrow end down. 6) Do the same with the glass ball. 7) Do the same with the top cup. 8) Complete the above operations by screwing a washer(not too tightly) to keep all parts together. 9) Now the chain; on one end there is a hook, screw this into the end of rod, adjust the lenght of chain by taking off extra rings. 10) On the other end of the chain there is a short rod where the ceiling plate has to be inserted because its purpose is to cover the wiring. 11) Now screw the ceiling hook into the rod. 12) At this point as you know already the lenght of your chandelier, insert the electric wire into n.12 all the way up leaving 20 cm. free on both ends. Now you can choose how to complete the assembling: You can hang the chandelier in its place without connecting the electric wire and work using a ladder,(this option is indispensible if it is heavy) or suspend it with a long cord and work at eye level. 13) The mounting of the arms sometimes cannot be completed by us because the glass shades have to be shipped separately from the arms which if there are not assembled, operate in this way: make sure the electric wire is inside the arm, on one end of it there is a short tube inserted in the chalk with the washer screwd into it; unscrew the washer, place the glass shade in position, rescrew the washer, splice the end of the electric wire about 5 mm., screw the candle holder, insert the wire into it, insert the candle. Now the arm is ready to be placed into one of the largest holes, insert all the arms and connect the wires. 14-15) Place the aluminium cup, the large central cup and hold them untill you have inserted the N.15 ( if applicable). 16) Place the final glass pendant with the metal washer and screw it all the way up because its purpose is to hold the glass cup. 17-18) The long and standing flowers and leaves are inserted as shown on the chandelier photo (normally on the internal row of holes. 19) The shorter downward pointing leaves or flowers are placed on the external row. |

Chandeliers with an upper row of flowers and leaves
This type of chandeliers is usually heavy, and should be mounted directly from the ceiling. The smaller flowers and leaves normally are placed on the upper row on the smaller disk. For the remaining instructions, read above. |

Two or three lights rows chandeliers
Also this type of chandelier is heavy and again should be mounted directly from the ceiling. Every row is a complete chandelier and it has to be assembled starting from the smaller row. The lower row starts when the upper one finishes; on this chandelier it's possible to have double lighting(possibility of switching on one or the other row, or both. |

Murano CA' REZZONICO style chandeliers
These type of chandeliers differ from the others because the arms and side supports are made by an internal metal tube covered by many glass segments(already assembled). The upper and the lower part are kept together by the side supports already wired. Flowers and leaves mounting follow the same procedure explained above and usually they are numbered.
